The most predominate eating disorder I saw was compulsive eating. I knew only one true anoretic and one real combination anoretic/bulimic. And there were some who claimed years after the fact, after having gained massive weight, that when they were at normal weights it was only because they had an eating disorder. Thereby making their obesity healthy, because it meant they had escaped their so-called eating disorder.
Some people believe that you should die, and some people think dying is a nuisance. I'm one of the latter. So I think we should get rid of death.

British Breakthrough Highlights Nanotechnology Policy Gap
In a single week of intense interdisciplinary work, an "IDEAS Factory on the Software Control of Matter" produced three ground-breaking research proposals that bring the nanofactory concept closer to reality. The project was sponsored by the UK's Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), a national science agency that also will fund the proposals.

Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS)

Appreciating Our Moral and Mental Development
But perhaps the focus on scientific ideas still misses a key component of economic growth: improvements in the human species. As we get wealthier, we also become enhanced physically, cognitively, and morally, leading to a virtuous cycle of improvements to the standard of living. As the economy improves, human cognitive ability and moral reasoning improves, which helps markets to work better and makes the process of innovation more productive, leading to greater wealth, more mental and moral development, and so on.

Human muscles are made of four main types of fibre, including two 'slow-twitch' varieties and one 'fast-twitch' muscle type that are suited to endurance and sprint activities respectively. Little has been known about the fourth type, called IIX fibre, because it is scattered throughout different muscles. -- Now a Boston team has hit upon a genetic switch that converts almost all mouse muscle fibres into type IIX. The result is startling. "Damn, they're good athletes," says Bruce Spiegelman of Harvard Medical School, who led the team. The mice were able to run on a mouse treadmill for 25% longer than normal before reaching exhaustion.
