I understand that debates are not conducted in front of perfectly rational audiences. We all know what happens when you try to trade off a sacred value against a nonsacred value. We'll decide for ourselves; we're just as good at making decisions as you are." So go ahead and say that, then. But think to yourself, in the silent privacy of your thoughts if you must: And yet they will still die, and they will not deserve it. That way, when Sebastian Thrun comes up with a scheme to automate the highways, and claims it will eliminate nearly all traffic accidents, you can pay appropriate attention.

NicStic on savuton vaan ei nikotiiniton, ja nikotiini taas on karsinogeeni. Eli tässäkin konseptissa ihmiset maksavat siitä ilosta että vaurioittavat itseään. Toki tämä on askel parempaan suuntaan, kun tässä vaurioituvat vain ne ihmiset jotka sitä itse haluavat, mutta en silti kutsuisi tätä hyväksi ideaksi vaan vain vähemmän tyhmäksi ideaksi.
Posted by: Alari at March 18, 2007 09:22 PMHenkilökohtaisesti suhtaudun tupakoiviin samalla tavoin kuin itseään viilteleviin teineihin. Koska sitähän se on, omien keuhkojensa viiltelyä. Tupakointi vain on vielä typerämpää, koska siinä viiltelee samalla lähimmäistenkin keuhkoja.
